The BA Tourism Management is a rigorous programme that integrates the theory and application of ethics into the study of tourism management.
This programme questions the ways in which natural and socio-cultural resources are currently being managed and even exploited, and it looks at the cultural and economic consequences of the continuous growth of the tourism industry.
Each level of study consists of 120 credits. Upon completion of 360 credits for all 3 levels, the student would be conferred the Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Management .

This module enables students to development an understanding of Integrated Resorts and traces its development in the Tourism and Hospitality industry in Asia. It aims to allow students to appreciate the complexity and challenges of managing multi-faceted entertainment with a complex. In addition, students will learn to critically examine the impact of Integrated Resorts on the tourism industry and the future of Integrated Resorts.
This module develops in students a critical awareness of the importance and value of strategic management and the strategic planning process within different industry contexts. It enables students to apply strategic planning concepts and evaluate the differing natures and sources of competitive advantage, and identify, associate and assess the different levels of strategy within organizations and evaluate the implementation needs of strategic choices in specific contexts. It also seeks to assist students to understand and relate sustainability and long term strategy to the strategic agenda.
This module aims to encourage students to develop a critical understanding of the role and
purpose of management consultancy. It enables students to identify and interpret the key factors that influence business development, growth and difficulties. It also allows students to identify and understand the role of information gathering and research within the role of business consultancy.
This module enables students to develop and employ e-Business concepts and strategies for the Tourism and Hospitality industries in a global context. Its aim is to develop an understanding of eTourism applications and solutions in the tourism and hospitality industry.
This module aims to develop students' knowledge of theoretical and practical perspectives that enhance understanding of the role of food and drinks in hospitality. It enables students the ability to critically analyse and appraise key developments, trends and issues in the provision, sourcing, and consumption of food and drinks.
This module enables students to critically evaluate the principles of sustainable development and destination management, and apply the principles of sustainable destination management within a practical context. It is closely aligned with the sustainability agenda and reflects current policy debates in relation to destination management regarding its economic, socio-cultural and environmental concerns.
CAREER
Graduates will have the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to seek management trainee, junior management or supervisory positions in establishments that provide food and beverage and/or accommodation within the tourism industry or in companies that offer food and accommodation as part of a tourist attraction.
East Asia Institute of Management, EASB, is in the first batch of PEIs to be awarded the 4-year EduTrust Certification by the Council for Private Education. EduTrust certification recognises PEIs that have robust academic systems and processes, and have attained quality standards in the delivery of education.
EASB has adopted both the escrow bank account and insurance scheme for the protection of total fees paid by all students as required under the EduTrust Certification Scheme.
EASB has in place a mandatory group medical insurance policy as required by the Council for Private Education for all students’ hospitalization and treatment throughout their course duration. In addition, EASB has a group personal accident insurance coverage for all students.
EASB has adopted the standard PEI-student contract.
