The Bachelor of Business - Human Resource Management is specifically designed to provide students with a sound theoretical and practical knowledge of all the key business-related areas in human resource management. This Programme equips students with the skills to apply scientifically-based techniques to work-related problems. Students learn to apply skills in human resource management, people soft skills, employee relations, international management and human behaviour.
Each level of study consists of 120 credits. Upon completion of 360 credits for all 3 levels, the student would be entitled to the Bachelors of Business Human Resource Management.

This integrative module aims to develop critical awareness of contemporary issues in international business. It assesses in what ways and to what extent globalization has a ected production, governance, societies and human knowledge and exposes students to developments in international political economy. From this agenda is derived policy issues concerning positive and negative impacts on human security, social justice and democracy. Against the contemporary issues of the day, it encourages students to consider alternative policy measures and evaluate the technical and political challenges of their implementation.
This module is designed to develop the way students interpret information. In today's fast-moving environment, knowledge management and innovative problem solving techniques are needed within all organisations large and small both national and international. This module will include development into the world of innovation, change management and entrepreneurship and challenge the student to pull together critical concepts of process improvement, e-commerce and innovation into a single framework.
The aim of this module is to provide students with an understanding of changing consumer behaviour, due to the swift and dynamic developments of technology.
To give the necessary skills, competences and knowledge which allow students to understand and appreciate the impact of work and organization on modern society. Students will learn to evaluate the nature and impact of personal interaction within organizations and in society in general. They will be able to apply current and predictive models to work, unemployment and leisure. They will take a global view of changing society, organizations and pattern of work. They will be able to question established views of organization and society.
This module is designed to introduce the students to the increasingly important
areas of Strategic HRM and Employee Development. It will enable students to develop a critical understanding of the key concepts involved in the formulation of HRM policies and strategy and the complementary role of employee development in achieving organisational aims. This module will explore the variety of strategic choices open to HR managers in the context of ehical and cultural issuesm and will also evaluate the importance of managing performance and development in a socially acceptable manner. The module will be of a largely integrative nature, in that it will bring together the key concepts and debates within the field of HRM study, and will an important oppotunity for students to synthesise and reflect upon their learning.
This module is the major integrative element in the nal phase of business studies courses. It builds on the knowledge and skills acquired in earlier modules to enhance critical awareness of senior management decision-making. It addresses strategic management as a complex agenda of fundamental questions and problems that concern organizations and their future development. In order to address this complexity and generate a richer picture of organizations, the module also considers the context or environment in which an organization performs and the individuals whose actions help shape organizational performance.
This module builds upon other marketing modules, involving considerations of
expanding business abroad and meeting foreign competition. It analyses how organisations plan and implement marketing principles and involves the practical considerations that must be taken into account in the strategic marketing of goods and services against competitive sources.
Each module is assessed by academic work comprising written assignments, case study reports, essays, examination as determined by the subject profile. The assessment criterion varies from module to module and level to level.
Generally the curriculums for all levels are taught over 4 terms of 12 weeks. Modules are conducted in formal instructor-led classroom sessions where students are introduced to the course discipline. Each term will cover 2-3 modules with 50 contact hours per module. Lectures are 2-hour sessions and Tutorial 3-hour sessions weekly.
East Asia Institute of Management, EASB, is in the first batch of PEIs to be awarded the 4-year EduTrust Certification by the Council for Private Education. EduTrust certification recognises PEIs that have robust academic systems and processes, and have attained quality standards in the delivery of education.
EASB has adopted both the escrow bank account and insurance scheme for the protection of total fees paid by all students as required under the EduTrust Certification Scheme.
EASB has in place a mandatory group medical insurance policy as required by the Council for Private Education for all students’ hospitalization and treatment throughout their course duration. In addition, EASB has a group personal accident insurance coverage for all students.
EASB has adopted the standard PEI-student contract.
