19th November 2012 – Students from Bharath University, Chennai, India, can now enjoy a dual campus experience in Singapore. East Asia Institute of Management, EASB, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bharath University in Chennai to provide articulation opportunities to its business and hospitality programmes.
Addressing a press conference following the signing of the MoU, Vice-Chancellor of Bharath University K P Thooyamani said such tie-ups with internationally-reputed-institutions would provide exposure to Indian students to wider knowledge.
The pact will encompass the introduction of EASB™ Diplomas and Advanced Diploma in Bharath University, Chennai, of which students from these programmes have the options to articulate to EASB’s partnering Final year Bachelor degree of the similar discipline in Singapore. Programmes in the pipeline includes Hospitality and Tourism majors and Business relevant programmes such as Business and Management Studies, Accountancy, Banking and Finance.
Vice-Chancellor of Bharath University K P Thooyamani also mentioned “MoUs with international university go a long way in helping our students gain the best of knowledge from across the globe.’
Furthermore, the MoU will make institutions engage in dual campus programmes, exchange programmes for students and teachers, improved technical collaboration, joint-academic publications, exchange of knowledge material and joint conferences”
