Modules
- 1. Logistics & Supply Chain Management
-
This module enables students to develop theoretical and practical knowledge of all the key logistics and
supply chain related areas. Students learn effective decision-making and problem-solving skills to
manage the flow of products, information and funds within the supply chain. Students are to apply their
skills to business forecasting, logistic management, quality management, to develop effective scheduling
and control systems.
- 2. New Enterprise Creation
-
This module will engage the student in various types of learning experiences. This is a practically designed module providing students with the opportunity to deploy techniques & methods required to successfully identifying possibilities for the development of a business idea. The lecture programme will be supported by case study & fieldwork exercises. Visiting Lecturers (currently managing their own enterprises) will share their knowledge & experiences with the cohort.
- 3. Organisational Behaviour

This module enables students to learn about the behaviour of people in organisations by examining
theories, researches, and managerial practices in areas such as leadership, group dynamics, con ict
resolution, motivation, and individual di erences. Its aim is to increase management skills through group
project, which encourages the integration of personal experiences and learning with relevant theory to
develop a useful framework for understanding human behaviour in an organisation.
- 4. Managing Diversity

This module enables students to identify and understand that in the increasingly diverse employee
population, the ability to work together productively despite di erences is crucial for today’s companies.
Students learn that managing diversity is more than setting quotas for recruiting and hiring people from
different cultures. Students develop a critical appreciation that diversity is a strategic strength when
people from different backgrounds, cultures and sensitivities work effectively together. It enhances the
quality of team decisions and creativity, which in turn increases employee satisfaction.
- 5. Exploring Strategy

The module will explore contemporary thinking and literature in the field of strategic management, and will make use of examples and cases from a range of organisational and cultural contexts. The module aims to develop student understanding of the central role of strategic planning and decision making as the basis for creating added value for both the organisation and its customers. The module will focus upon strategy (and strategic thinking) as it applies to; purpose, direction, environment, choice, innovation, learning and change.
- 6. Business Research Methods

This module enables students to acquire knowledge and understanding of basic principles of business
research methods. It serves as a guide in gaining insights in the research process. The module focuses on
the types and methods of research; starting with basic question design as well as quantitative and
qualitative data collection methods and analysis techniques.
